On March 17th and 18th, the representatives of our college went to Xian'an District of Xianning City to carry out the practice of party members' study and education, and carried out “bringing lessons to the countryside” activity and organized basic education research to accurately help the poor in these hills and to strengthen the development of grassroots education. The teachers and students who are in-service or retired party members or party activists in our college have opened courses in art, science, and drone teaching for primary school students at the Kongbei Primary School and Caiqiao Teaching Center, and donated a number of books and school supplies.

Xianan is the Experimental area regarding  Informatization promoting the balanced Development of Education of our school. Damu country is the most remote country in Xianan. On the afternoon of the 17th, at the Kongbei Primary School, the team led by YouLi the secretary of the Party Committee of our college and Professor Zuo Mingzhang, the vice president of our college brought a colorful teaching activities for the children, and donated more than 200 books and 12 teaching supplies. Lin Yuren, a teacher of our college, gave the fourth grade students a vivid science class, which was introduced by small props chopsticks and rubber bands to guide students to think about the fulcrum. In the second half of the course, the students and teachers actively thought about how to use a fulcrum to set up chopsticks. The class atmosphere was very active. Teacher Wang Qinye gave the fifth grade students a science course, using multimedia technology to show the children the charm of science, and through the interesting and vivid experiments to lead the children to appreciate the beauty of mechanics. Teacher Tan Zheng gave a painting class to the children of the first grade, which guided the students how to use a round to draw the zodiac animals. It not only popularized the twelve zodiac stories in traditional culture, but also guided the children to master simple stick figures. The children painted a variety of small animals on the paper following their teachers and they were very involved. Ouyang Hongjie teacher brought a unique drone teaching and presentation class to the children.

   At Caiqiao's teaching point, the team led by Yang Jiumin, the vice president  of our college, and Zhong Wenrui, deputy party secretary, sent our school’s cultural and creative products to the children as gifts, and presented teaching materials to two teachers there. Teacher Wang Xiang brought a vivid art class to 15 children from the first to the third grade. The 13-level undergraduate Liu Haonan explained the structure of the drone to the students and led the students into the door of science. Although there was light rain in the sky, the children listened and watched the presentation very attentively.

    After the activity the teachers of our college held a symposium in Kongbei Primary School to conduct on-the-spot investigations on the work, study and life of local teachers, and proposed further intentions to help them. On the 18th, our college also took advantages of teachers resources, technology and equipment to help the school league committee successfully hold two performances of “Aiding Poverty Alleviation, Culture Benefits People” in the Mufu hills. The teachers and students who participated in the event watched the performance. The team “University Sound”made a full recording.
