On the afternoon of April 28, the teaching staff political theoretic study was held in the studio six of building nine by SEIT, aiming to study and implement the spirit of National College Ideological and Political Work Conference in a deep-going way. The learning was presided by You Li, party secretary of SEIT, with members of the party committee center group and all teaching staff participated in.

Comrade You Li conveyed the conference spirit to all staff, highlighted General Secretary Xi Jinping’s significant address and led the study of Opinions on Strengthening and Improving College Ideological and Political Work Under the New Situation issued by CPC central committee and the State Council. On this basis, combined with the requirement of Notice on the Study, Publicize and Implement of the Spirit of National College Ideological and Political Work Conference submitted by CPC CCNU committee, You Li introduced the SEIT Plan on Implementing the Spirit of National College Ideological and Political Work Conference, focused on the aspects of significance, key work, activities and deepening. You hoped that everyone would put the spirit into teaching, research and management service actively to advance the work.

By this study, all staff have a new understanding of Ideological and Political work at college, which involved with the fundamental problem that what kind of person should be cultivated, how and for whom to cultivate. We should adhere to take high moral values establishment and people cultivation as the central part in daily teaching, management and service. Ideological and Political work should be embodied throughout overall process in education. Achieve whole-process and all-round education, strive to create a new situation for the development of all undertakings in SEIT. Student education management, safety and stability, subject construction, implement of the annual goal, teaching and research work are informed and arranged as well.
